Professional, reliable and solid as a rock
A real family firm
Dalsem’s origins can be traced back to 1932, when Kasper Dalsem started work as a blacksmith in the Westland region, which is the traditional home of horticulture in The Netherlands. That formed the basis for today’s company. Dalsem was – and still is – a real family firm. Greenhouse construction was the primary activity for many years but the company gradually broadened its horizons. Rather than greenhouses, Dalsem now works on complete greenhouse concepts and projects.
The core business has become everything that happens within a horticultural production facility – and not only inside greenhouses, but also for mushroom farms.
Ideal location
Dalsem’s factory comprises 60,000m2 and is based in Den Hoorn – a town on the edge of the municipality of Westland – which is the ideal location at the heart of the Dutch horticultural sector. The factory is where all the components of each high-tech greenhouse project are manufactured, all under one roof. That gives the company a huge degree of diversity and flexibility, making it a unique player at the forefront of the industry.
For customers, there are nothing but advantages to Dalsem’s turnkey approach: a single company is responsible for handling the entire project from start to finish.
