Reducing humitity saves energy
Ventilating the greenhouse removes heat and humidity, causing the air inside the greenhouse to become drier and cooler. But ventilation not only reduces the heat and humidity; it also leads to the loss of CO2. However, there is an alternative way of reducing humidity which additionally saves significant energy without wasting CO2.
By applying the principles of next-generation growing, screens can remain closed for longer and the air between the screens can serve as a cavity, thus saving energy.
